It’s the time of year for saving money!
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. For me it’s my only yearly MUST ATTEND audio event. CES is ok, but except for some overseas manufacturers, I see everything and everybody I need to see at RMAF, so it’s largely redundant. Also, since RMAF is dedicated to audio, there are fewer irrelevancies and distractions (such as iPod Accessories for grilling meat).
But for the past three years there’s been one thing that kept RMAF from being perfect – it fell on the same weekend as The Arlington, TX, Four Amigos Guitar Show. The Arlington Show is the oldest and largest guitar show in the US, and for vintage guitar aficionados it’s the biggest show of the year. I love Arlington as much as RMAF, but I’ve had to miss it because of the conflict.
Finally, for 2012 RMAF and the Arlington Guitar Show are on different weekends! RMAF is scheduled for October 12- 14, while the Arlington is October 20 – 21.
This year I’ll be attending both shows.
Whoopee!
And if you, too, are into audio and vintage guitars, maybe I’ll see you at both shows.
